Privacy policy

This page explains what data LightSwap processes for quote requests, support handling, and operational protection during the public MVP.

What LightSwap collects

When you request a rate or create a quote, LightSwap may process the selected assets, quoted amounts, wallet addresses, destination details, quote identifiers, transaction hashes, optional notification email addresses, and basic device or network telemetry needed to operate the service safely.

If you contact support, the team may also retain the information you send with your request, including quote IDs, deposit transaction hashes, and any troubleshooting context you provide.

How the information is used

LightSwap uses this information to provide quotes, process swaps through route and infrastructure services, detect delayed or incomplete deposits, resolve refunds, send optional final-status email updates, answer support requests, and protect the service from abuse or misuse.

The service is designed to be wallet-first and does not require a LightSwap account to begin, but operational and compliance checks may still be applied where needed by the route, network, or legal requirement.

Sharing, retention, and security

Operational data may be shared with infrastructure vendors, analytics services, and service partners only when necessary to deliver the quote, execute the swap, prevent abuse, or comply with legal obligations.

Records are retained only for as long as they are reasonably needed for service operation, dispute handling, security monitoring, or legal obligations. LightSwap uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no internet-connected system can be guaranteed perfectly secure.

Policy updates

LightSwap may update this policy as the public MVP evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
